About the museum
The museum was created in the late 1990s (1998–1999) on the first floor of the Collegio Artigianelli in Turin. It gathers testimonies of the life, history and work of Saint Leonardo Murialdo, a 19th-century Turin priest who devoted himself to the education and training of the poorest and most abandoned boys.
The route includes the Chapel of Saint Joseph, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception and the saint's bedroom, furnished with some of his personal objects, clothing, vestments and books. The museum holds many paintings by the Turin painter Enrico Reffo, who drew on the best academic tradition of Italian and French origin, along with traces of other personalities who left works of faith and social promotion in the area.
