About the museum
The museum occupies a building that was once an inn, the Hôtel du Chamois. A new display telling the history and life of the Rorà community was opened in 2024.
The ground floor is devoted to farm work and to the lime and stone industries of Luserna. The first floor contains rooms of community life between the 19th century and the early 20th century, including the kitchen and the school. The last room shows videos on stone-working and local history, in particular on Giosuè Gianavello, leader of the Waldensian resistance.
The museum has seven rooms and is one of the museums in the Waldensian museum system coordinated by the Fondazione Centro Culturale Valdese.
