About the museum

TtrAM is the archive and museum of Trentino Trasporti and has two parts. The first is the historical archive, which holds the documentation of the Trento–Malé Railway (FTM) and the Atesina from their foundation until their transformation into the new company. The second is an exhibition of objects, images and archive documents, including items from private collectors.

The route tells the story of public transport in Trentino from the 19th century onwards, when the arrival of the Brennero railway and the secondary lines – Mori–Arco–Riva, Valsugana and Trento–Malé – changed the connections of the valleys. Alongside the FTM and the Atesina, the Mori–Arco–Riva railway, the Alta Anaunia electric railway and the Trento–Sardagna cableway are also presented.

The outdoor display, which is technical and educational in character, shows structures and vehicles for rail and road transport. The museum is located at the Trentino Trasporti headquarters, in Trento Nord.
