About the museum
The Baldones muzejs was founded in 2017, and since 2018 it has been housed in Mercendarbe manor, 4 km from the centre of Baldone. The museum’s priority is to research and promote the history of Baldone and its surroundings, including the past of the Baldone spa.
The museum displays an exhibition devoted to the history of Baldone, and several history exhibitions are held every year. Rooms in Mercendarbe manor are also available for travelling exhibitions and for showing the works of artists and art collectors. Cultural, active-tourism and educational events organised by the museum and the Ķekava municipality also take place there.
