About the museum
The Kriaunų istorijos muziejus (Kriaunai History Museum) is a branch of the Rokiškio krašto muziejus (Rokiškis Regional Museum) in Kriaunai village. On the ground floor the history and ethnography of the region are presented: work tools and products of local craftsmen – joiners, blacksmiths, weavers and fishermen – and the interior of an early-20th-century village cottage has been set up. Much attention is paid to the past of the Kriaunai region and to distinguished local people.
On the first floor changing exhibitions are held. The museum can be visited Tuesday to Saturday, and ticket prices are lower than at the main museum in the Rokiškis manor.
