About the museum
The Žemaitijos nacionalinio parko ekspozicija (Samogitia National Park Exhibition) is housed in the granary of Plateliai manor, built in the second half of the 19th century in folk architecture with neo-Gothic elements. In 2011 the exhibitions on the history of Plateliai manor, on the past of old Plateliai and Pilies sala, and on the ethnography of this Samogitian region were renewed here, and a modern nature exhibition and a hall for changing exhibitions were set up.
The exhibitions are run by the directorate of Samogitia National Park. Visits are self-guided; tours run only if booked in advance.

Tickets are sold at the ticket office in the granary of Plateliai manor (Žemaitijos nacionalinio parko ekspozicija). The free entry on the last Sunday of the month does not apply to these exhibitions. The Žemaitija National Park visitor ticket (€1) is separate.
