About the museum
INSPIRIA science center is a regional science centre in Sarpsborg that gives children, families, schools and businesses practical experiences with natural science and technology. The centre is run as a non-profit enterprise, and any surplus goes back into the offering.
The centre lies by the E6 at Grålum and has a permanent exhibition on the second floor and a changing exhibition on the first floor. In addition there is a planetarium, two coding rooms, meeting rooms and classrooms. Outdoors there is an activity park with a pump track, a climbing frame, a bungee trampoline and a cycle track for e-bikes. A new energy exhibition, developed together with Østfold Energi, fills the entire first floor.
INSPIRIA also operates the school ship M/S Ny Vigra III, offers programmes for schools and nurseries, and coordinates national education projects.
