About the museum

The Muzeum Edukacji “Pszczółki” (Pszczółki Education Museum) operates in Niezwojowice, in the gmina of Pałecznica, as part of the “Pszczółki” ecological and educational farm. The farm lies by fish ponds and runs an apiary, a beekeeper’s house with an inhalatorium, a garden with a lime avenue and an educational farmstead (zagroda edukacyjna).

The museum is housed in a historic 19th-century former school building. Visitors see the old classroom furnishings and, as part of a workshop, write with a goose quill. The beekeeping workshops complement this: a real beekeeper talks about the anatomy of the bee and the life of the bee family. Other activities on the farm include plucking feathers, baking bread and making sauerkraut.

Galleries of paintings and a model of the Battle of Racławice can also be seen in the farm’s old manor house.
