About the museum
The museum “Jazda Historyczna – Galeria Pojazdów i Staroci” (Historic Drive – Gallery of Vehicles and Antiques) is the fruit of more than a dozen years of collecting by the family of Bożena and Zygmunt Bieniek from Ochaby Wielkie. The collection began with a single car brought in parts, which awakened a passion for vintage motoring. The owners want to create a “living museum”: they restore the vehicles and drive them from time to time.
The collection includes historic cars, among them the Buick Super, Fiat 125p, Mercedes 250 SE and Škoda 1000 MB, as well as agricultural tractors such as the Deutz F1L612, F1M414 and F2L612 and the Farmall M. The collection aims to save from oblivion part of the legacy of designers and manufacturers of agricultural machines.
A separate section is a recreated room in the style of the 1960s, with original furniture from the family home, including a table, a sideboard, a Szmaragd 902 television and a Stolica radio. Visits take place on Wednesday afternoons or by prior arrangement.
