About the museum

The Muzeum Parafialne was established in 2000 at the St Anne sanctuary in Lubartów. It holds collections gathered over about three hundred years of the church's existence, valuable for their historical, artistic and archival significance. It is housed in the renovated building of the former parsonage at ul. Słowackiego 6, and some of the collections are also displayed in rooms next to the church.

The most impressive relic is an embroidered chasuble decorated with symbols of the mysteries of the Rosary and the instruments of the Passion, donated to the church by Prince Sanguszko on the day the church was consecrated. The collection also includes 18th-century monstrances, chalices, crosses and a reliquary of the Tree of the Holy Cross, four feretrons (processional panels) from around 1740 and three from the 19th century, as well as a cycle of paintings showing the twelve Apostles with fragments of the Credo.

Part of the collection consists of an 18th-century organ positive (pozytyw organowy), sculptures of saints, portraits of parish priests and a library of prints from the 17th century onwards, including old liturgical and parish books. The exhibition is supplemented by a crypt with several dozen coffins from the 17th–19th centuries and a treasury with silver reliquaries and other valuable objects.
