About the museum
The Muzeum Ziemi Doberskiej was founded in 2005 on the initiative of the local Centrum Aktywizacji Społecznej (Social Activation Centre). It is a municipal organisational unit, and its seat is the cellars of the Public Library building in Dobra.
The collections are displayed in two rooms. The first shows the history of the town up to the Second World War, with particular attention to the von Devitz family, owners of the local castle. The second holds post-war objects linked to settlement in the Recovered Territories (Ziemie Odzyskane) and to the everyday life of residents.
The collection also includes objects from the fittings of the closed station of the Stargard Narrow-Gauge Railway – Dobra Nowogardzkie.
