About the museum
The Municipal Museum of Ferreira do Alentejo opened on 22 October 2004 and occupies much of the Casa Agrícola Jorge Ribeiro de Sousa, a building with features of the second half of the 19th century, classified as a building of municipal interest. In 2010 it was included in the Portuguese Museum Network.
