About the museum

The homestead of Ciril Kosmač, one of the most prominent Slovenian writers, is an ethnological monument from the late 19th century, distinguished from the outside by its thatched roof. The ground floor presents domestic living culture in a period setting; the attic presents Kosmač's personality and literary career. The Tolminski muzej looks after the homestead.

Past the homestead, along the Idrijca river, runs the Kosmačeva učna pot (Kosmač educational trail) from Dolenja Trebuša to Most na Soči; it can be walked or cycled.
