About the museum
Murski Črnci is a village with a long fire-fighting tradition, which is maintained by the voluntary fire brigade association. In the centre of the village stands a modern fire station, in whose annex a fire brigade museum has been set up since 2004.
The museum displays fire-fighting objects and equipment, including two hand-operated fire pumps, as well as photographs and documents on fire-fighting in the village. The fire station also houses a fire-fighting and religious archive with extensive fire-fighting and religious literature.
Near the fire station, by the stream Mokoš, there is an open-air museum of old farm tools, where many farm objects and machines are on display, for example old wheelwork and a threshing machine.
