About the museum
The room presents the Vaccaean settlement of Pintia, made up of the sites of La Quintana, Carralaceña and Las Ruedas, and the cultures that occupied the place, from the first tribal groups to the Roman period. It is an educational space with explanatory panels and replicas of objects found at the pre-Roman site, and it invites visitors to take an active part.
It is housed in the Plaza del Coso in Peñafiel, in the same building as Cosovisión, the interpretation centre of the Viejo Coso. It is municipally owned, and its management is run by the company Turifiel. Visits are guided.
According to the Castilla y León tourism portal, the building is temporarily closed for refurbishment, with no reopening date, and during this time the Peñafiel Tourist Office operates provisionally in the church of Santa María.
