About the museum
The Casa del Palmeral was the last home of the artist from Lanzarote César Manrique. It was built from 1986 onwards on a former ruined farmhouse, on an agricultural estate in Haría, and Manrique lived there until his death in 1992. It opened to the public as a house museum in 2013 and is run by the César Manrique Foundation.
The route includes two courtyards, the rooms of the residence and the palm grove that surrounds the house. Personal objects and craft pieces by the artist are on display, and the original studio is preserved as he left it, with paintings and unfinished canvases.
The Foundation offers a combined ticket with the Casa del Volcán, the house that Manrique designed and lived in between 1968 and 1988 in Tahíche, which forms part of its seat.
