About the museum
The Centro de Interpretación de Muniellos is in a restored former quarry, on a spur of the Pico de Las Vachinas at 850 m altitude, between the villages of Oballo and Moal. The building blends into its surroundings and lies outside the boundaries of the Integral Reserve (Reserva Integral).
It helps visitors learn about the Muniellos forest and its status as a Biosphere Reserve before walking in it or visiting the surroundings. Its staff also provide information on nearby routes.
