About the museum
The museum occupies the keep (torre del homenaje) of the Palacio ducal de Medinaceli, also known as the Castillo de Pallarés, on the Plaza de la Constitución in Castellar. The palace and the keep form a single monumental complex, now the seat of the town council.
The route has two rooms and a courtyard (patio de armas) where the largest archaeological pieces are displayed. Stone axes and tools from prehistoric times are shown, along with Roman remains found on the ground floor, such as coins and columns, and, on the upper floor, Iberian objects from the sanctuary of the Cueva de la Lobera, where more than 3,000 votive offerings were found.
