About the museum
The Museo Crux Caravacensis, on Calle Mayor in Caravaca de la Cruz, presents an exhibition on the impact of the Cross of Caravaca in the world. It offers a route through the history of this cross between the 15th and 19th centuries in countries such as Germany, Austria, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Italy and the Netherlands.
The small reproductions on display reached those countries through religious orders or pilgrims who travelled to Caravaca, drawn by the miraculous fame of the Cross. The exhibition occupies a space with stone walls, which recalls the presence of the Cross of Caravaca across Europe.
