About the museum

The Fiñana museum was created in 2002 in a mansion of the late 19th-century agrarian bourgeoisie, on calle Sol. The building is arranged over three floors around a central courtyard, and its rooms serve as the setting for explaining how people lived in the village.

The exhibition covers domestic customs, aspects of the town’s economic life and the tools of trades that have disappeared. One of its specialities is old photography: it holds around a thousand images of the municipality, which make it possible to follow the evolution of its streets and its people.

According to a tourist source, the museum also keeps a wooden bench that tradition links to the surrender of the town in 1489, a claim that should be verified with the town council.
