About the museum
The Museo de Ciencias de la Universidad de Navarra was born in 1998 from the Museo de Zoología and the Colección de Ciencias Naturales. Its stated aim is to bring science closer to society and to put it at the service of nature and of people.
The museum occupies the five floors of the Edificio de Ciencias, known as the Hexágono, on the Pamplona campus. From a much larger holding, around 7,000 pieces from all over the world are displayed in 94 cabinets.
The collection includes a zoology section, another for minerals, rocks and fossils, and a display of old containers, texts, tools and apparatus for pharmacy, chemistry and photography. The museum also offers activities for the general public, schools and families.
