About the museum
The Museo del Turrón de Castuera is on Calle Huertos, in a building that was once a flour mill and still retains part of its original machinery. The route presents the tradition of turrón, an element of the town's gastronomic identity alongside cheese.
The collection shows the equipment used to make this sweet of almond, honey, sugar and egg white: scales, cauldrons and ovens, as well as a recreation of a mobile stall selling nuts and dried fruit.
For weekends there are guided visits, which must be arranged three days in advance.
