About the museum
The museum is located in the Casa de la Senyora, a building of the Casa de Cultura of Pego on the Calle Sant Domènec, which it shares with the public library, the municipal historical archive, the assembly hall and the Museu d’Art Contemporani.
The collection shows how the people of Pego lived in the past. Its core theme is rice cultivation in the Marjal, the crop that shaped the history of the town, and it is complemented by sections on oranges and traditional crafts. It brings together objects, tools and photographs, many of them donated by local residents. One space is dedicated to the world of the mills and combines old pieces with projections.
