About the museum
The carpentry workshop in Ekebacka was the workshop of Hjalmar and Anders Johansson. After it had stood untouched for about 25–30 years, Ryda local heritage society took over the workshop and its fittings.
The machines and hand tools reflect the period from the 1930s onwards. The collection also includes traps for hunting and equipment for beekeeping. The workshop is one of the buildings the society looks after in Ekebacka, near the Eklundsstugan cottage.
