About the museum

The retro flat Andra Våningen is a three-room flat furnished entirely in 1960s style. It is in the old fire station in the Amiralen block on Storgatan in Nossebro, overlooking the river Nossan.

In the kitchen you can see the well-known Futurum fan and the brown and green cupboard doors typical of the period. The cupboards and pantry contain equipment and spices from the era, such as Oboy and Jello. In the children’s room you can play tabletop ice hockey with tin players, the teenager’s room has its walls covered with pin-ups and old music is played, and in the living room a TV with a TV2 adapter stands in front of the sofa bed. The bathroom contains White Horse and Cutex nail polish, among other things.

Andra Våningen is part of Retro Nossebro, the network of retro attractions in Essunga Municipality that is the origin of the Retrovägen (Retro Road).

Getting there & parking

The flat is at Storgatan 1 in Nossebro, in the old fire station in the Amiralen block. Nossebro market is also held on the last Wednesday of the month.
