About the museum
Alfred Cedergren (1847–1931) was an organ builder and harmonium maker in Bjärges in Vänge parish. He founded his workshop in 1870 and ran it until around 1925. During those years, around 1,800 organs were made in Bjärges.
The museum is housed in a mission house built in 1926 on Cedergren's initiative. In the house stands his masterpiece, a richly decorated organ with a façade of blind pipes. Around fifty of the organs made in Bjärges are today in the museum.
The museum is run by Vänge hembygdsförening (local heritage society). During the summer, shows with entertainment are held on selected Tuesday evenings.
