About the museum
F 14 was formed in 1944 as an attack wing in Halmstad and was disbanded in 1961. The wing area was then used by the Swedish Air Force's schools. The wing area's comrades' and veterans' association (Flottiljområdets Kamrat- och Veteranförening) was formed in 1972 as F 14 Kamratförening and looks after the memory of the wing.
The museum, which is run by the association, shows the history of the wing and of the schools that followed. It lies within a military area, so visitors need a visitor permit. The exhibition is being renewed, and the association also has a virtual museum, which shows the former museum in virtual reality with twelve information points about past and present.
