About the museum
Fridhemsstugan is one of two workers’ dwellings that survived the fire of 1888, which destroyed large parts of Lilla Edet, and it is counted as the oldest house in the town. The cottage has been renovated, and the furnishings were donated by residents of the municipality.
The museum has living rooms with period furnishings and a shoemaker’s workshop where tools and implements are on display.
