About the museum
Hedemora MC-museum displays motorcycles, mopeds, old bicycles and motoring curiosities from the 1880s to the 1960s. The basic exhibition includes about forty motorcycles, mopeds and pedal cycles. The museum is run by Carl-Erik “Calle” Johansson, who welcomes visitors in his home and museum setting.
One special part concerns the TT races, where TT stands for Tourist Trophy. The races were held regularly in Hedemora from the 1950s and made the town known among motorcycle enthusiasts. The exhibition shows motorcycles and photographs from that time and preserves memories of the track’s heyday.
The museum opens for the summer in connection with Motorhistoriska dagen (Motor History Day) in June, and can be visited at other times by arrangement. It is one of several motoring memorials in Hedemora, which is sometimes called the motor town.
