About the museum
Oséenska gården in Dångebo, about twelve kilometres east of Tingsryd, is the homestead museum (hembygdsgård) of Södra Sandsjö hembygdsförening (local heritage society). The farm is a preserved environment from the early 1800s. The main building dates from 1818, and in 2019 the association celebrated the farm turning 200 years old.
The main building houses a local history museum and a small school museum, where textiles and cast iron from Örmo bruk are also displayed. In the former cow barn, the association has an agricultural museum with old farm machinery and vehicles.
