About the museum
Älmeboda hembygdsförening (local heritage society) runs the homestead park in Rävemåla, which lies on a plot of just over 16,000 square metres. The association bought the farm in 1967. At that time only a two-storey farmhouse stood on the site, and the other buildings have since been moved here, restored and furnished.
The park has about sixteen older houses. These include a small dwelling, an old village smithy (bysmedja), a church stable (kyrkstall), workshops for a shoemaker and a watchmaker, and a fire engine from 1937. One of the buildings shows a provincial doctor's surgery from the 1960s. On the upper floor of the entrance building are objects from the area's schools and from the Good Templar lodge (godtemplarlogen).
Beside a 25-metre-long track stands a third-class carriage from the narrow-gauge railway Nättraby–Alnaryd–Eringsboda–Älmeboda, known as Krösnabanan, which ran from 1910 to 1939. The park also has a skvaltkvarn and a photo collection.
