About the museum
Kålles Rekord-Magasin is a private and artistic museum in a converted barn at Kållegården in Tråvad in Vara Municipality. The collection has grown from four to 26 rooms over about 30 years, and the museum tells the story of sport and entertainment history.
One floor is devoted to the Olympic Games and World Championships, and the museum also has sections on the history of football and on the magazine Rekordmagasinet. The collections include wooden figures of Swedish kings, about 250 figures of Nobel laureates and historical figures, and portrait paintings of national football team players: all 1,004 players from 1908 to 2008 have been painted by the museum’s creator.
