About the museum

Naturum Fulufjället lies at the national park’s main entrance, Njupeskärsentrén, about 25 kilometers west of Särna. Here visitors can get tips before their stay in the park and learn more about the nature of the area.

Inside naturum there are exhibitions on Fulufjället, and visitors can take part in activities, lectures and guided tours, watch nature films and, for example, touch an elk’s antler. In late winter and during the autumn school holiday, events include animal tracking around naturum, talks about predators and bird feeding. In front of the building there is a large wooden deck where you can eat your own packed lunch and watch birds and squirrels at the bird feeder.

Many of the summer trails on Fulufjället start at naturum. The national park is managed by the County Administrative Board of Dalarna, which also runs naturum.
