About the museum
Stenbäcks flygmuseum lies beside the E65 between Malmö and Ystad, where many people have seen the aircraft from the road. The museum is more than a collection: it is also a community for aviation enthusiasts from all over the country. Its aim is to show the development of flight through technical objects, from small flight instruments to large engines.
The collection includes civil and military aircraft, among them a Saab 35 Draken and a Saab 37 Viggen, but also related items and things inspired by flying, such as model aircraft, plates with aviation motifs and promotional items. The museum builds flight simulators and arranges exhibitions.
One Tuesday evening every month, members and interested people gather to build models, watch aviation films or simply have coffee (fika) and talk. The museum offers guided tours, and visitors can book in advance for sessions in two flight simulators with an instructor.
