About the museum
Bici Lab Andorra is the bicycle museum run by the local council (Comú) of Andorra la Vella. It opened in 2022 in a 1,700 m² space in the centre of the capital. It presents the bicycle as a means of sustainable mobility, healthy living and economic activity, and highlights Andorra’s appeal for cycling.
The collection comes from the Riberaygua family, who began it around 1970, and brings together more than three hundred bicycles and about a hundred posters. The permanent exhibition “Història de la bicicleta” (History of the Bicycle) traces the development of this vehicle from 1817 to the present, while “Andorra i el ciclisme” (Andorra and Cycling) offers an interactive experience with virtual reality, simulators and touchscreens; one of the simulators lets visitors ride a bike park.
The space also includes a multipurpose room for local cycling groups, a media library and archives, as well as the Cova d’Alí Babà (Ali Baba’s Cave), where a large part of the collection is kept and which is opened to the public at certain times of the year.
