About the museum
The MW Museu de l’Electricitat is the museum of FEDA, Andorra’s electricity company, and is located in Encamp. Its purpose is to explain what energy is and to recall the history of electricity in the country.
During the visit, you can test the laws of electricity through experiments and see the generator room. Admission includes a guided visit to the Engolasters hydroelectric trail. The museum also has a temporary exhibitions area, a large model of Andorra with projections and an immersive space dedicated to the country’s energy history.
Since 3 April 2026 the museum has been closed for renovation, with no reopening date published. The project plans a new, fully accessible entrance, a sensory immersion room, a route with interactive screens covering several decades, and simulations of network outages in which participants act as technicians.
