About the museum
The Museu d’Art Sacre in Encamp is located on the Santa Eulàlia square, next to the parish church. It brings together liturgical objects from the parish’s churches in three rooms: goldsmith’s work, textiles and paper.
Among the pieces are fragments of a Romanesque wrought-iron candelabrum from Sant Romà de la Vila, a bronze censer from the 14th century, a Vera Creu (True Cross) of 1571, a reproduction of the medieval Codex of the Beatus of Liébana, and several parchments from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The visit includes the church of Santa Eulàlia, originally Romanesque and reformed between the 17th and 20th centuries. It is the only church in Andorra with a Lombard Romanesque bell tower, which is also the tallest in the country.
