About the museum
Red History Museum is the first museum in Croatia dedicated to everyday life in socialist Croatia between 1945 and 1991. It is located on the ground floor of the former factory for carbon and graphite products (TUP) in Gruž, not far from the Gruž harbour and the main bus station.
The exhibition relies on objects that visitors can look at, touch and listen to, and after the visit classic Yugoslav non-alcoholic drinks are served. The museum is accompanied by a shop with designer items and souvenirs inspired by Yugoslav history.
