About the museum
Rodna kuća rijeke Kupe is a reception, education and information centre for visitors to the Risnjak National Park. Its name refers to its location in the immediate vicinity of the source of the Kupa, which makes the Kupa the only Croatian river with a “birth house”. Inside, the centre interprets the rich biodiversity of this river.
The centre is located in the upper part of the village, along the Hrvatsko – izvor Kupe trail, which begins at a developed area on the left bank of the river and follows its course through the Kupari hamlets towards the source. Resting places have been set up along the angling trail.
