About the museum
The Koeru vallamuuseum (Koeru Rural Municipality Museum) was founded in 1996 and presents the cultural heritage linked to the Koeru area. The museum is located in the older part of the Koeru Cultural Centre on Paide Road. The display consists of objects, photographs and documents brought and donated by local residents, which tell the history and local lore of the area.
The museum collects and preserves local history: photographs, written materials and memorabilia of well-known local people are gathered, for example those of the boxing champion Harry Buddel. The museum also has a branch, the Carl Friedrich von Tolli chapel in Arukülla.
