About the museum
The Paduvere talumuuseum (Paduvere Farm Museum) in Jõgeva Rural Municipality presents the daily life of 18th-century farms and the work and way of life of our ancestors. The museum was built on the site of Aru farm, which was destroyed in the Second World War. Since 1993 it has been a private museum, led by the journalist and sports historian Tiit Lääne.
Near the museum stand five oak sculptures made by the St Petersburg artist Grigori Azarenkov. They depict Hugo Raudsepp, the progressive landowner Aleksander von Brasch, Pärtli Liis and the manor lord von Schwarz. The beautiful natural surroundings make the museum a popular place for folk festivals and theatre performances; the Paduvere open-air stage is also nearby.
