About the museum

The permanent exhibition at Koskenkorva Museo tells of Finland's alcohol history, from the era of home distilling through prohibition to the present day, as well as the phases and products of the Koskenkorva village distillery. On display are, among other things, the Koskenkorva Muraali (mural), whose subject is the ups and downs of the spirit's 70-year journey, and a large number of Koskenkorva products. The museum also has a bar.

The Könnimuseo in the same farmyard presents the famous clockmakers of Ilmajoki, the Könni family, and their finest works in a separate space in the hall of the main building of the Koskenkorva estate. On display are clocks, tools and stories, and a video presentation about the lives of the Könni family; one of their best-known works is the seven-hand calendar clock.

In an old train carriage next to the parking area, visitors can get a short introduction to the history and present day of the Koskenkorva village. The museums are run by the Koskenkorva family, who live on the estate.
