About the museum
The Rasmusgården foundation was established in 1989 to care for, develop and manage the museum collections of the farmer Verner Rasmus as an independent museum. Verner’s brother Arvid Rasmus bequeathed part of his estate to the foundation, which made it possible to expand the activities, and the whole Rasmusbacken area was completed.
The museum, called Verners museum (Verner’s Museum), shows peasant furniture, farming tools, books and a special porcelain collection. On the grounds there is also Arvidsgården, a farmstead that can be rented for parties and meetings during the summer half-year, as well as animals, a playground, a boules court and two storytelling trails: Vernersstigen of 1.5 km and Arvidsstigen of 1.3 km.
At Rasmusbacken there are also Vörånejdens ridklubb (riding club, since 1998), WOFF-Vörånejdens hundklubb (dog club, since 2003), Lomby Byaförening (village association, since 2006) and Vörånejdens 4H (since 2019).
