About the museum
The Archaeological Collection of Loutra Aidipsou has been housed since 1987 in the town’s new hydrotherapy centre, which belongs to the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT). In July 2020 the exhibition was reorganised and new display cases were built.
The collection presents prehistoric finds from Mount Kantili and the settlement of Koumpi, as well as pottery from the Geometric to the Roman periods from Kastelli Gialtron and from excavations on plots in the centre of Loutra Aidipsou. The sculptures of the Roman period show the reputation of the ancient spa town.
