About the museum
The museum is at the Pozar Baths in Almopia, in a stone-built building behind the first waterfall. It is run by the Baths Administration as part of the municipal enterprise, with the aim of preserving and presenting the folklore elements of the area and the history of Loutropoli.
The exhibits present the folk art of Almopia: objects of rural life, household utensils, traditional costumes and objects of traditional weaving (kostoufantourgia). The exhibition is accompanied by a rich photographic collection.
The visit also includes a virtual reality system, with which visitors “enter” the cave sinkhole of Loutropoli and get to know its ecosystem.
