About the museum

The Fekete ház (Black House) is a 19th-century building in central Szeged. It took its name from its earlier, blackened paint. The house also played a role in the political and literary life of Szeged.

The building is the historical exhibition venue of the Móra Ferenc Múzeum, where a permanent exhibition presents the social history of the town; temporary exhibitions, mostly on historical, applied arts and literary history themes, are also held here. It is only a one-minute walk from Dóm tér.
