About the museum
The Hősök Kapuja (Gate of Heroes) is the gate of Veszprém castle. As an exhibition venue of the Laczkó Dezső Múzeum, the exhibition “Hősök kincsei” (Treasures of the Heroes) operates in the gate building. The gate and the adjoining Hősök Terme (Hall of Heroes) were built in the 1930s to plans by Pázmándy István.
The exhibition venue is currently temporarily closed; tickets could previously be bought at the Várkapu Ajándékbolt (gift shop), Vár utca 4.

Free admission for EEA citizens: children under 6, people with disabilities and one companion, teachers and visitors over 70. On the national holidays (15 March, 20 August, 23 October) everyone can enter free of charge, but a technical ticket (HUF 300) must be bought. On the third Saturday of each month, visitors under 26 and accompanying family members are free of charge.
