About the museum
The exhibited objects come from the collection of Komócsi Zoltán. A 2014 aircraft accident prevented him from presenting his private collection to the public. On the fifth anniversary of the accident, on 28 May 2019, the family and an enthusiastic team opened the collection under the name KOMO-SKY 51-es BÁZIS.
The open-air exhibition displays the military equipment of the past fifty years: fighter aircraft, reconnaissance, transport and combat helicopters, iconic types of civil and agricultural aviation, tracked and wheeled combat vehicles, air defence and reconnaissance equipment, and airfield support installations. Visitors can climb into some of the equipment, and guided tours can be requested.
