About the museum
The impressive complex of the Porcelanium Látogatóközpont has welcomed visitors to Herend since 1999. Beyond its high-quality porcelain production, the aim of the Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra here is to present and popularise this special craft and technology and to pass on its applied-arts tradition.
In the Minimanufaktúra, the process of porcelain making can be followed on a guided tour; in the workshops, visitors can even touch the raw porcelain paste or pick up a painting brush. The technology presentation, which previously formed part of the museum, can now be seen here. In the opposite wing of the building is the Viktória Márkabolt (Viktória brand shop); the Porcelánművészeti Múzeum operates nearby.
