About the museum
The listed Slovak Emlékház (Slovak Memorial House), built in the last century, combines the features of minority culture in its architectural style and its furnishings. The characteristic building with a columned front porch houses furnishings linked to folk tradition: a Slovak room and kitchen interior are on display.
In the house, a memorial room preserves the legacy of the woodcarver and painter Szokolay Sándor. Folk carved furniture made by the village’s native son, and famous paintings, can also be seen.
